Ty Van Norman

Ty is a fifth generation rancher in Tuscarora, Nevada operating a family owned ranch that currently has around 60 head of broodmares, 5 stallions, along with homeraised horses in the remuda. The ranch is also accommodated by pasture cattle and hay production.

Ty comes from a long line of ranchers and horseman. His grandfather Charlie was a successful rancher who began breeding registered horses in the 1960's. Ty's dad, Bill, was an excellent horseman and shared the love of raising and breeding cow horses. Ty's other grandfather was Ray Hunt, another great horseman who perpetuated the love of horses and a knowledge of effective communication and horse handling skills.

All of these men had a direct impact on Ty, and the collection of these men's ideas and experiences greatly influenced not only Ty's ability with a horse, but also his character, and his life's perspective.

Ty is confident that God has allowed him to be a part of such great legacies, not only for his own maturity and benefit, but also to gather up a storehouse of experiences, knowledge and ideas for the purpose of passing it on to others.
